VIDA is seeking a Director of Finance to drive excellence in our finance team, build and elevate VIDA’s financial systems and controls, and support and coach our Finance & Admin team.

The Role: 

As the Director of Finance, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead, coach and drive accountability in the finance team  
  • Lead the development, implementation and oversight of efficient financial procedures and systems  
  • Ensure strong financial controls are developed, reviewed and continuously improved  
  • Supervise finance personnel and set team targets  
  • Critical review of financial reporting and related accounting practices  
  • Oversee group treasury function (cash positioning, intercompany balances, investments, capital structure)  
  • Manage group compliance with capital partner reporting obligations and financial covenants  
  • Oversee audit and tax matters  
  • Assist with M&A financial planning and accounting  
  • Advise on overall financial strategy, capital allocation, risk management and regulatory compliance  
  • Manage day-to-day banking relationships
 
 

What you'll bring to this role:
 

  • Strong Financial Leadership: You’re experienced in leading finance teams, setting clear goals and driving accountability. 
  • Real Estate Finance Expertise: You’re familiar with sophisticated real estate finance structures, terms, covenants, GAAP and Non-GAAP financial measures, as well as ASPE accounting standards. 
  • Strategic Thinking: You’ll be instrumental in shaping financial strategies that align with VIDA’s growth, capital allocation, and risk management goals. 
  • Attention to Detail: You’ve got a sharp eye for accuracy, ensuring our financial reports, accounting practices, and internal controls are on point and continuously improving. 
  • Compliance Expertise: You’re well-versed in financial regulations, audit requirements, tax compliance, and know how to handle capital partner reporting and financial covenants. 
  • Team Coaching & Development: You are passionate about coaching your team, helping them grow, develop, and succeed. 
  • Relationship Building: You’ll build trust with key stakeholders including banks, capital partners, ensuring strong financial partnerships. 
  • Adaptability & Innovation: You thrive in change and are always looking for ways to improve processes. You question the status quo and come up with creative solutions to make things better.
